Do you needa a mobile website?
It is becoming more important in the age of the Smartphone.
And now the Google has purchased Motorola the writing is on the wall.
People are looking up information on the fly and if your site is difficult to read - NEXT. Don't be left behind.
A Mobile Website is built differently than a regular HTML website, therefore it shows up differently on a mobile phone. Unfortunately some of the more known computer hosts offer a "mobile compatibility" option, but the truth is they just don't work the same.
Try pulling up this website on a mobile phone. It just looks bad, and we chose to have it "optimized for mobile" from the host. Thankfully, we parked our mobile site on our mobile servers, so it looks better from a mobile phone. If your customers can't see your site, scroll through it to the information they're looking for, or get the directions they need in about 45 seconds, they're going to click off your site before it even loads.

Your Secret Decoder-Ring for QR
By JK Perkins, A Better Way Marketing, LLC
There's a lot of mystery surrounding the QR code, what it is, and how it works. I'd like to take a few moments here and break the code for you.
A little bit of history: QR stands for "Quick Response." It is a hyperlink for a mobile device that works similar to a hyperlink on a website. A QR code is a 2-D barcode, scan-able through an application on a mobile device (smart phone, some enhanced phones, tablet, or Blackberry). These Quick Response codes have been used in Japan, China, and Europe for the last 12 to 15 years, and are a completely integrated part of their society. They reached America in 2009, and from their inception in 2009 to 2010, their popularity grew by 1600%. Stop and take a moment, and think back to 2010. How many of you remember ever seeing one of these? Not many, and to have a 1600% increase in popularity is phenomenal when none of us can remember seeing those codes.
One of the biggest advantages of using a QR code in any advertising campaign is their popularity. They are simple, easy to use, and incredibly popular. People will scan a QR code just to see where it goes or what it offers. It also is the quickest way to grab new customers, and by far, when combined with mobile marketing, one of the least expensive, most productive forms of marketing available today. As with anything in new technology, if this is implemented correctly in your marketing, it can have dramatic positive results. If implemented incorrectly, the results can be devastating.
One of the biggest mistakes being made when using a QR code when marketing is that people forget that a QR code can only be scanned and loaded by a mobile devise. In other words, if you have a QR code that is pointing to anything other than a mobile website, mobile landing page, or mobile coupon, your customers can't read it correctly, it won't load correctly, or it won't load at all. While this might not seem like such a big mistake, unlike in regular marketing, where a customer will just throw away or disregard your advertising, in mobile marketing a disgruntled customer can forward your mistake to everyone they know in a matter of seconds.
This is why it is really important to use a mobile marketer for your mobile campaign. They understand the components that need to come together to make a QR code campaign work correctly.
QR codes can be used individually or you can literally design a campaign using multiple codes for multiple purposes. This makes tracking your marketing campaign easier, much more direct, and you'll instantly see the results. QR codes can be pointed at customer enhancements, such as polling services, opt-ins for your texting campaign, scavenger hunts through your site or services, sent to a commercial video, and so on.
To see an example, scan the code.

If you don't have a scan app:
- for Droid, go to the Droid Marketplace and download Google Goggles .
-for I Phone, go to the I Phone App Store and download Google Scan. These are free apps, and once you have them, you can open the app and it should look like you're taking a picture. Hold the camera over the QR code, and it will "scan" it. Once it's been scanned, it should pop-up with a link. Touch the link and it will send you to the mobile site (hopefully mobile).
